According to market research agency IHS, the global lighting LED package revenue plan for 2016 will be increased from US$3.6 billion in 2013 to US$7.1 billion.
In terms of quantity, 2016 is expected to grow from 5.2 billion in 2013 to 2.4 billion units.
IHS also predicts that the average sales price of lighting LED kits will drop to US$0.19 in 2018. The average sales price in 2016 will be US$0.25, and the average sales price in 2013 will be US$0.41.
The residential sector LED lighting package in 2016 is expected to grow from approximately $850 million in 2013 to approximately $2.7 billion.
