32nm Atom released ultra low price early in September

According to the latest news, Intel is scheduled to release the next-generation Atom platform "Cedar Trail" in September this year. Not surprisingly, it is in the new San Francisco IDF 2011 forum.

The Cedar Trai platform will be launched at the same time with both a netbook version and an entry-level desktop version. The processors are codenamed Cedarview-M and Cedarview-D. They are all manufactured on 32nm process, dual-core, 1MB L2 cache, and integrate the new graphics core PowerVR SGX545. Supports DX10.1 and full HD hardware decoding.

There are two new processors for netbooks: Atom N2600, Atom N2800, Hyper-Threading support, 1.60GHz, 1.86GHz, 3.5W thermal design power, 6.5W, and a price tag of US$42 and US$47. The 64-86 dollars for the Atom N400/N500 series are a lot cheaper.

There are also two Atom D2500s and Atom D2700s for entry-level desktops. The latter only supports Hyper-Threading, which is clocked at 1.86GHz and 2.13GHz. The thermal design power consumption is 10W. It is priced at US$42 and US$52, compared to the current Atom D400/ The D500 series also costs $42-63.
