The introduction of the first specification for the installation of outdoor units for air conditioners in China

The “Standard for the Installation of Outdoor Units for Air Conditioner Outdoor Installations” issued by the China Household Appliance Service and Maintenance Association is released today, and is expected to become a national mandatory standard next year, which has now been submitted to the relevant national authorities. This is the first industry standard for air-conditioning brackets in China. The specification specifies the steel thickness, rust resistance, fasteners, and bracket inspection specifications for air-conditioner outdoor unit brackets. For example, the material used for the bracket must be 3 mm or more angle steel or galvanized steel; the air-conditioning bracket's carrying capacity must not be less than 4 times the air-conditioning unit's own weight; the service life should not be lower than the air-conditioning itself's service life of 10 to 12 years, etc. . In addition to the rigid requirements in terms of strength, the specification also requires that the surfaces of the air-conditioning bracket must be rust-proofed.

It is understood that although there is no uniform standard for air-conditioning support in China before this, well-known air-conditioning manufacturers will basically develop enterprise standards for the support based on the actual conditions of their own air-conditioners to ensure that the support design is reasonable and durable, ensuring reliability and safety.
