The high price survey in VR industry is not the fundamental issue of VR popularization

VR is a daydream of the past for science fiction fans, but now it has become a reality, and consumer-level VR products are also occupying the market. However, due to the highly competitive market, any VR manufacturer who wants to win the championship faces a series of challenges.

The foreign media upload teamed up with Perkins Coie (a well-known law firm whose clients include Boeing, Intel, Google, Microsoft and Starbucks, etc.) to launch a survey to find out how VR, which has not yet been experienced in the world, took off, and more than 650 people accepted it. This survey, among them VR business leaders, technicians, and investors, the results of the survey were surprising.

Most respondents stated that the high price or relatively niche market of VR hardware is not an obstacle for people to accept VR. On the contrary, according to the survey, “the lack of high-quality content, user experience issues, and cost are the challenges that AR and VR need to face in the next few years.”

Among them, 38% of participants selected "user experience" as the biggest obstacle to the current VR popularity. Relatively only 32% stressed the cost issue. Similarly, 37% believe that the lack of content is the biggest challenge facing the VR industry. Only 23% think that consumers refuse to accept the new VR, and 20% think it is a technical limitation.

Finally, when asked about future trends, the vast majority of respondents agree with the following view: “In the next two years, VR and smart machine manufacturers will focus on developing mobile VR solutions. In terms of profitability, AR will surpass VR. ."

Obviously, just as the gaming industry has always believed in "software is the best marketing guarantee for hardware," VR/AR professionals share the same view. So software vendors, start to force it, the future of VR/AR, see you.
